Deploying a custom NGS panel for combined myeloid and lymphoid neoplasm analysis

To address challenges of multiple sequential tests, increasing cost, complexity and turnaround time, Kingston Health Sciences Centre collaborated with OGT to develop a custom SureSeq myPanel™, designed to detect SNVs, indels, ITDs, PTDs and CNVs at both exon and whole-gene levels.

How do I resolve black holes on the array during aCGH?

Using too little hybridization solution can leave areas of the array insufficiently covered, leading to local drying and the appearance of black holes in the aCGH signal.

This can be resolved by ensuring the correct volume of hybridization solution has been used and that no leakage of hybridization solution has occurred.

How does NGS-based MRD detection stack up against existing technologies?

NGS-based MRD assessment is helping labs to capture a wide assortment of MRD markers in AML samples and when combined with optimized bioinformatic analysis, unlocks their ability to—at scale—identify and assess variants that impact disease course and/or therapeutic response.
