Kenji Iwakabe joined OGT as a Director in 2025. He brings over 20 years experience in the diagnostics industry, with extensive experience in strategy and general management.
He has a history of delivering significant growth through commercial and operational excellence and through the acquisition and integration of businesses and technologies in the diagnostics space.
He began his career at Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Astellas Pharma Inc.). He later worked for Becton, Dickinson and Company.
He joined Sysmex in December 2007. He was then seconded as President and CEO of Riken Genesis Co., Ltd., a molecular diagnostics company in Japan, and later excelled as Executive Vice President of Sysmex Life Science Business.
