An opportunity has arisen in our Marketing Team which is responsible for ensuring that all of OGT’s product and services are delivered and communicated in the most effective manner.

Reporting to our Senior Manager - Strategic Product Marketing, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for new product development and managing the most effective marketing of the existing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) portfolio. You will understand market trends, competition, new developments and technology in order to deliver a balanced cancer NGS portfolio. You will also be required to input into the tactical marketing process and to co-own the competitor and technology databases.

This is an exciting time to join the team, as this role will be involved in several product launches for NGS products this year.

 

Your duties will include:

1. Owning the Product Management process to deliver a portfolio of competitive products by:

  • Developing an understanding of the global market for constitutional NGS products
  • Analysing the market to define new product development and product improvements
  • Spending a minimum of 2 days per month or equivalent facing prospective customers/ customer base to identify short and longer-term needs
  • Defining OGT’s strategy and positioning for the product range

2. Working with the regional marketing team to:

  • Ensure successful transition of products and information to the regional marketing team for launch
  • Develop tactical marketing plans for the portfolio, ensuring corporate strategic objectives are met
  • Input in to sales support & product collateral to effectively promote products

3. Owning and maintaining competitor and technology database by regularly researching and reviewing our competitors, obtaining feedback from other teams across the organisation and preparing recommendations that aid the creation of successful customer value propositions across the portfolio

 

You will:

  • Hold a BSc degree or equivalent as a minimum, up to PhD in Biological Sciences
  • Have demonstrable commercial experience in a sales, marketing or support within a Life Sciences, Genomics or in vitro Diagnostics Company
  • Have broad knowledge of Next Generation sequencing
  • Have the willingness and enthusiasm to learn, with a commitment to personal development
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and present findings to different audiences, both verbally and in writing
  • Have a positive attitude to change, with the ability to adapt to different situations quickly
  • Be excellent at time management with the ability to priorities tasks

Regular travel (US and international) is required with this role (c. 25%).
