Joining OGT as HR and Resourcing Coordinator, you’ll be knowledgeable about all things HR and passionate about providing great support to our managers and employees.

You’ll work for Catherine Caine, our HR Manager, and you will play an integral role, providing advice and guidance on HR related matters, ensuring we have accurate and up to date employee information and making sure we bring the right people into the business.


What we are looking for in you:

  • Previous experience working in a similar HR role (essential)
  • CIPD qualified to Level 3, or qualified/working towards Level 5 (desirable)
  • Proven interpersonal skills by telephone and email with the ability to interact patiently and professionally
  • Computer literacy
  • Good attention to detail with an organised methodical way of working with the ability to manage your workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • Ability to work both as a part of a team and independently in a sometimes pressurised environment
  • Ideas on process changes and improvements to deliver operating efficiency
  • Positive can-do attitude, able to embrace change and adapt accordingly


What you’ll be doing for us:

  • Act as first point of contact for internal and external HR queries with complete confidentiality.
  • Being the primary system administrator for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
  • Provide monthly headcount and FTE figures for our parent company Sysmex.
  • Responsible for all HR record keeping including starters and leavers in line with GDPR
  • Advising employees and managers on statutory leave in line with policy
  • Administration of Employment contracts, job offer letters, bonus, and changing of working patterns and promotion letters.
  • Creation of the monthly Payroll
  • Administration of company benefits
  • Maintaining record of employee training and training records.
  • Support of the annual appraisal system
  • As required, take notes or conduct investigations, as part of the discipline and grievance procedures
  • Management of employee benefits: Group Life, GIP, Private Medical, Dental, and Pension
  • Coordination of the recruitment process including job descriptions, agency liaison
  • Management of the HR Vacancy inbox
  • Organise inductions - including GDPR training, DSE assessment, Specsavers vouchers etc.
  • Ensure probation interviews are carried out, completion letters are organised.
  • Responsible for on-boarding - check Right to work in the UK, ensure OH and references are satisfactory, ensure copies of qualifications are received and placed on file, contracts of employment.
  • Organise the interviews and administration for the annual work placements (12 months) and work experience students.
